whole wheat french bread
2 cups very warm water
4 to 5 cups 100% whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons yeast

If you use a breadmaker, use the "mix dough" setting.
If by hand, dissolve yeast in water, stir in sugar and salt, add flour, 1 cup at a time until well mixed - use your hands and knead until smooth and shiny.
Let rise until doubled in size.
Spray a loaf pan with vegetable spray.
Put dough into pan and put pan into cold oven.
Let rest for 5 minutes, then turn on oven to 350 and bake for about 35-40 minutes. Let cool in oven.
Turn out, slice, and enjoy
